Umm...how to explain this one... >->"
well, I don't know what to call the character, Davy I guess, but I kind of used the 'Cracked Actor' theme from David Bowie's song "Cracked Actor" for this.

STORY:
~'Davy' is sitting on a couch backstage getting ready for his performance on stage. He is an actor/singer and is known to most as the 'Cracked Actor' because of his 'addiction'. He plays his guitar( of which he wrote his known title on) and acts on broadway shows and theaters. He is highly inspired by David Bowie, so, he dresses in almost the same clothing and style. He has a sense of humor and has high hopes of one day making it big. However, his manager thinks otherwise, and finds it difficult to get Davy hired to act in anything anymore. Even in difficult times Davy refuses to try a different tactic or job. He just wants to pursue what he loves, so through hardships unnumbered( you know I had to ) he continued his acting career. And, even when no one had faith in him at first, he continued wowing audiences in his roles until finally his dream did come true and he became famous.~

Somehow though, the character (Davy) looks kind of inspired from 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'Corpse Bride' 's
characters...o-o
You know, with that kind of eerie creepy look...maybe I'll just go with 'both inspired me' then.
And my poor inking and drawing skills are obvious so...yeah, whatever I'm too tired to restart.

~ All hand-inked except for the backround and the words 'Bowie Inspired' at the top, which I used photoshop for.
~ Not much reference used. I looked at a thin white duke picture to get what the outfit looks like, I used a picture of a guitar to look at too for the guitar, and last I looked at a picture in a book for the skull in his hand. (I added the sunglasses to it though) The rest I had to figure out on my own including the pose. >->"
